Today the nation marks its 250th birthday. For many, this celebration includes picnics, cookouts, swimming, time with family and friends, and possibly fireworks.

On Friday evening, July 3rd, at approximately 5:57 PM in Hamiltonban Township, Company 2 responded to a motor vehicle accident on Cold Springs Road. Upon arrival, responders found that a motorcyclist traveling eastbound had crashed off the roadway. On Tuesday evening June 30th Company 2 responded to a residential fire call in Carroll Valley at approximately 7:14 PM. Upon arrival it was realized that the fire was actually in a microwave oven that was quickly removed from the residence. Large fans were deployed and used to clear the smoke from the house.
