Slick Roads and Icy Conditions keep the Department busy tonight

Slick roads and icy conditions tonight were the culprit for two single vehicle accidents. The first one occurred near Cold Springs Road and SR 116, the second accident occurred on Bullfrog Road just North of McLaughlin. 3 Baltimore Firefighters die in early morning blaze, a fourth is in critic but stable condition

Large Tree damages residence in Carroll Valley

On Monday evening January 17, 2022 a large tree crashed through a two story residence on Fruitwood Trail in Carroll Valley causing considerable damage. Luckily all occupants escaped and no injuries were sustained. Special thanks to Vigilant Hose Company in Emmitsburg for their assistance on this call.
