| During tonight's training, firefighters practiced setting up a leader line using a 2 1/2 inch hose connected to a gated wye, which was split into two sections of 1 3/4 inch hose, each measuring 200 feet in length. The team conducted a timed drill to measure the duration from the moment the engine was parked to the point when water was flowing. The task was completed in 3 minutes and 30 seconds. If this type of training interests you, or if you’re thinking about volunteering we would love to talk with you. Fill out the online application or stop by the Fire Department any Tuesday evening around 7:00PM. You can also call us at (717) 642-8842, extension 2. Thanks! |
