During tonight's training, firefighters practiced setting up a leader line using a 2 1/2 inch hose connected to a gated wye, which was split into two sections of 1 3/4 inch hose, each measuring 200 feet in length. The team conducted a timed drill to measure the duration from the moment the engine was parked to the point when water was flowing. The task was completed in 3 minutes and 30 seconds.
